Hey Bills Fans!

Just wanted you to know the reason for the absence here at the Buffalo Bills Review. Greg here, your BBR webmaster. As we mentioned on the show this month, my wife and I are expecting our 4th baby any day now. (Maybe even today?) So, life has been hectic crazy here with me taking on lots more Mr. Mom duty around the house, and trying to cram in lots of work before I take time off for the new baby. I also am working on two books at the moment! It’s busy.

So, suffice it to say, there has not been time for a bills RunDown.

Also, please note that we had RSS Feed trouble (MY BAD!) recently. The first two shows of the year had December 2006 dates (instead of January.) So, if you keep all of our shows in your podcast list, you’ll have to delete those and download them again (with the correct date) or any new shows won’t automatically download. ORCHARD PARK, NY – In a not-so-surprising move today, the Buffalo Bills parted ways with three veteran players deemed expendable by new GM Marv Levy and head coach Dick Jauron. Sam Adams, Mark Campbell, and Lawyer Milloy all followed first round bust, OL Mike Williams, to the waiver wires.

Sam Adams, the 13 year veteran, fell out of favor with former Bills coach, Mike Mularkey, during the course of the 2005 season. His playing time diminished throughout the year, and so did his play when he was on the field. There was some speculation the Bills would retain Adams, despite his high salary cap impact, due to his great presence in the middle of the line.

Mark Campbell and Lawyer Milloy both joined the Bills in 2003, and contributed to the team over the past three years. Milloy, 32, and Campbell, 30, were showing signs of age last year though as their production levels tailed off through a dismal 5-11 season.

The moves free up around $5 Million under the 2006 salary cap.

The Bills have secured the services of Nate Clements for at least one more year by designating him the Franchise Player. This guarantees him the average salary of the top 5 corner backs in the league. But unless the Bills can sign him to a long-term deal, this would only be good for one year.

Bills standout WR Eric Moulds was offered a deal that would reduce his salary this year, but that was publicly and officially rejected by his agent this past Sunday. Moulds’ agent firmly stated that the receiver will not take a pay cut to stay in Buffalo. The team is expected to release Moulds, though he is currently under contract, due to his nearly $11 Million dollar 2006 salary. Such a move would save the Bills around $5 Million under the salary cap.

Expect more moves from One Bills Drive in the very near future as the free agency period is due to begin this Friday, March 3rd.
